Who we are

Next Level Mac (“we,” “us,” “our”) publishes articles and resources for Apple users on our website at nextlevelmac.net (the “Site”).

What we collect
• Information you provide: If you email us or sign up for the newsletter, we collect what you submit (typically your email address and any message content). Newsletter sign-up is optional.
• Technical data: Our hosting/platform records limited technical information sent by your browser (e.g., IP address, user-agent, pages viewed, timestamps) for security and operations.
• Analytics (cookieless): We use Ghost’s first-party, cookie-free analytics to understand aggregate site usage. We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party analytics.

How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the Site, deliver the newsletter you request, improve content, communicate with you, and comply with law.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set non-essential cookies on our pages. Because our analytics are cookieless and we do not run third-party ad tags or tracking pixels, we do not display a cookie banner.
If we later add services that place non-essential cookies (e.g., embedded media players or ad scripts), we will update this policy and our consent approach.

Affiliate links (disclosure)

We use plain text/standard links to merchants. When you follow a link to a third-party site, that site’s privacy policy applies.
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (affiliate advertising). A clear affiliate disclosure is shown on the Site in accordance with Amazon’s rules and applicable law.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only to:
• Service providers who help operate the Site (e.g., our website platform/host and its email delivery provider) under agreements that limit their use to our instructions; and
• authorities when required by law.

Data retention

We aim to keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal/operational requirements.
• Newsletter email addresses: kept until you unsubscribe (or for a limited period of inactivity, then removed).
• Technical logs & backups: retained by our platform/host for security and reliability according to standard practices.
If specific retention details are needed, contact us and we will provide current platform settings.

Your choices & rights
• Newsletter: unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us.
• Access/erasure/correction: email contact@nextlevelmac.net. We verify via reply-to email and respond within 45 days unless an extension is permitted by law.
• Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply. Requests are honored as required by applicable laws.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., TLS in transit, limited access). No method is perfectly secure.

Children

The Site is for a general audience and not directed to children under 13. If personal information from a child under 13 is identified, it will be deleted.

International visitors

Information may be processed in the country of residence and in other countries where our service providers operate, with protections as described in this policy.

Third-party websites

Links on the Site may lead to other websites. Their practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes

If material changes are made, the “Effective date” above will be updated. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
